Project Overview
For this advertising project, our assignment was to rebrand Pears Soap and reimagine how the product could be presented to a modern audience. Pears is known for its heritage, simplicity, and recognizable amber-colored bar, but its current branding feels outdated and doesn’t fully communicate the premium quality of the product.My rebrand concept focuses on refining Pears’ classic identity while introducing a more luxurious and contemporary aesthetic.
My Contributions
For this project, I developed three unique packaging designs as part of the Pears Soap rebrand. We were required to conduct research to inform our concepts, so I used my findings to create distinct scent profiles and visual directions for each soap. While designing, I carefully considered the product’s main demographic, focusing on what scents, aesthetics, and packaging styles would best appeal to their preferences.
This group project was a refreshing experience that taught me a lot about the design process and the importance of research. Taking time to understand the brand and its audience helped me create consistent packaging designs that aligned both with my personal style and the identity of Pears. Working collaboratively also gave me the chance to improve my communication skills and learn how to share ideas effectively within a team.My portion of the project focused on the packaging and visual design for the rebrand, where I developed elevated, modern concepts that still honored the heritage of Pears Soap.
